If tree roots are clogging your sewer main line, you can either choose to have a spot repair or replace your sewer drain. Unfortunately, if you choose to do a spot repair, you will most likely have to call a plumber again in a few months.
Tree roots love the moisture and nutrients in your sewer line and won’t stop growing, even if you use a rooter. Also, if your sewer pipe is old and you choose to do a spot repair, you will probably have to do another spot repair somewhere else along the sewer line.
When your property’s sewer lateral is damaged and needs repair, Hoffmann Brothers can perform a same-day sewer pipe rehabilitation using new “Light Ray” technology and the pull and place technique. This quick, effective state-of-the-art solution uses ultraviolet light, does not require digging or excavation and does not cause disruption to your home or commercial property.
The Light Ray LR3 Packer is designed, built, and supported right here in the USA.
How Pull and Place Sewer Renewal Works
The repair packer is lowered into the damaged pipeline through an access point above ground.
Typically this can be a cleanout, or even through a toilet drain.
The ultraviolet packer is then pulled perfectly into place.
The bladder is inflated with air pressure to set the repair.
The UV lights are turned on, activating the resin’s curing process.
The repair is fully cured in 10 minutes or less.
The repair is considered complete and ready for service once the curing process has finished. The result? A once-damaged host pipe is renewed, saving the homeowner thousands of dollars.
The same repair can be made in vertical pipelines as well, even without ground access.
